Greetings!

A little about my educational background…

I received a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University Northridge. I began teaching in a first grade classroom and before coming to James Jordan Middle School, I worked at an independent blended high school as an English Learner Specialist. I worked with high school students who are learning English as a second language. While this is my 12th year of teaching, it is my seventh year in the 6th grade and I am so excited to be on the Phoenix team!

Communication is key!

I believe that communication is the key to a great ‘parent-teacher’ relationship and I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can write a note in your child’s agenda, you can email me, or call me. I will also do my part by staying in contact with you as regularly as possible. For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone or email.

Un poco sobre mi formación ...

Recibí una licenciatura en estudios liberales y una credencial de enseñanza de materias múltiples de la Universidad Estatal de California Northridge. Comencé a enseñar en una clase de primer grado y antes de venir a James Jordan, trabajé en una escuela secundaria independiente como un especialista en inglés. Trabajé con estudiantes de secundaria que están aprendiendo inglés como segundo idioma. Este es mi duodécimo año de enseñanza, pero será mi séptimo año en el sexto grado y estoy muy emocionado de ser parte del equipo de los Phoenix!

Creo que la comunicación es la clave para una gran relación "padre-maestro" y le animo a que me contacte si tiene alguna pregunta o inquietud en cualquier momento. Puede escribir una nota en la agenda de su hijo/a, puede enviarme un correo electrónico o llamarme. También haré mi parte manteniéndome en contacto con usted lo más regularmente posible. Para las preocupaciones individuales, me pondré en contacto con usted por teléfono o correo electrónico.
